On a May evening in 2016, the life of 22-year-old Antago Jennings was tragically cut short in Columbia, South Carolina. The young man was at the Crossroads Apartments on Zimalcrest Drive when a violent encounter left him with a fatal gunshot wound to his lower body. Responders rushed him to the nearby Palmetto Health Richland hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead in the emergency room about an hour after the shooting.
