In the quiet, early morning hours of July 22, 2023, in Belton, South Carolina, the life of 44-year-old Jonlee Chad Ricks, a White/Caucasian male, was violently cut short. Around 1:40 a.m., law enforcement and emergency services responded to a call on Dean Springs Road, where they found Ricks deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Anderson County Deputy Coroner swiftly ruled his death a homicide. Ricks, a local equipment operator and brick mason, was remembered as a dedicated tradesman.
