On August 5, 2023, 32-year-old Nicholas E. Bonepart was fatally shot in Columbia, South Carolina. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Waverly Street during an attempted robbery linked to a narcotics transaction. Columbia Police Department officers responded to the scene following a ShotSpotter alert and found Bonepart deceased inside a vehicle.
