In the late hours of July 11, 1982, a violent encounter on a Council Bluffs, Iowa street cut short the life of 23-year-old John P. Adams Jr. The young man, a male, was found deceased in the 2400 block of West Broadway, the victim of a single gunshot wound to the face. The events leading up to the fatal shooting began with an argument witnessed by others in the vicinity of 25th Street and West Broadway.
