John P. Adams Jr., a 23-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, was killed during a violent roadside confrontation in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on July 11, 1982. The encounter reportedly began across the Missouri River in Omaha following some type of traffic dispute involving Adams and two men riding motorcycles. The confrontation did not end there. It continued into Council Bluffs, where witnesses saw the two motorcyclists arguing in the street near the intersection of North 25th Street and West Broadwa ...
