Caleb A. Martin, an 18-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on March 15, 2021. The incident occurred at a convenience store located in the 3200 block of Farrow Road, near West Beltline Boulevard. According to reports, gunfire erupted around 8 p.m., and officers were alerted by ShotSpotter technology, which detects the sound of gunshots and provides the location to police. Upon arrival, officers found Caleb Martin, who had been fatally injured in the shooting.
