Kevelle Byrd, 17, a Black male, was shot multiple times late on the night of September 9, 2025, at the Villages at Carver apartment complex on Moury Avenue SW in Atlanta. Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. and found him wounded near the complex; he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
