In the early hours of November 14, 2023, the life of 33-year-old Perry Teevon Smith, a Black male known to his friends and family as 'Pelow,' was tragically cut short. Smith was visiting a friend at the Mercy Circle apartments in Hardeeville, South Carolina, when he was struck by gunfire at approximately 1:37 a.m. Officers from the Hardeeville Police Department responded to a call and discovered Smith deceased at the scene from at least one gunshot wound.
