Death by Force

On June 18, 2024, 38-year-old Bernard Lyles of Hardeeville, South Carolina, was fatally shot at the Walsh Drive Apartments, a public housing complex off Main Street. The incident occurred around 12:35 p.m., when gunfire erupted following an altercation in the apartment complex's parking lot. Lyles sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Coastal Carolina Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
