On November 24, 2023, six-year-old Avery Davis tragically lost his life in a hunting accident near Cameron, South Carolina. According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Avery was in an elevated stand when he was struck by a stray shotgun pellet fired from the ground. The incident occurred on Whisperwood Road in Orangeburg County.

Emergency responders transported Avery to Prisma Health Children's Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day. ...Read More
