On December 2, 2023, 30-year-old Jamilla Shanae' "Millie" Smith of Aiken, South Carolina, was reported missing after a distressing 911 call in which she stated that her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Harmon, had broken into her home and was chasing her. During the call, dispatchers heard Smith's screams and a revving engine before the line went silent.
