In the quiet horse country of Aiken, South Carolina, Wendy Rae Bogard, a 56-year-old Caucasian woman, was known for her contagious laugh and her deep love for horses. Her life, however, took a tragic turn, ending abruptly on March 18, 2016. The man she had been living with, William Bodie, was the one who brought this violence into her life, turning their shared home on Holly Pond Road into a crime scene.
