that day, authorities responded to a call and discovered that Bethanylynn had been fatally shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and a family devastated by the sudden loss. The individual taken into custody was 22-year-old Brandon Dewitt, who was identified as Bethanylynn's longtime boyfriend and the father of her two children. The presence of their six-month-old child during the incident added another layer of heartbreak to the case. Dewitt was subsequently charged with murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawfully placing a child at risk.
Following his arrest, Brandon Dewitt was detained at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
