On February 24, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Goose Creek, South Carolina, resulting in the deaths of 15-year-old William Allen "AJ" McEvoy Jr. and his mother, 43-year-old Tracy Samm McEvoy. The Goose Creek Police Department responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:43 p.m. reporting an intoxicated male suspect armed with a gun and holding hostages at a residence on Water Oak Drive.
