In the quiet evening of April 20, 2024, the life of 30-year-old Josheul Allen was tragically cut short in Goose Creek, South Carolina. A male, remembered by loved ones as a quiet and peaceful person who cherished his family, Allen was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Newell Drive. Emergency responders from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene around 9:31 p.m.
to find him, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Originally from Smoaks, South Carolina, Josheul was born on June 5, 1993. He was educated in the Colleton County Public School System and was known for his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family and girlfriend. His sudden and violent death sent ripples of grief through his community.
In connection with the fatal shooting, authorities arrested 44-year-old Nicholas Jermaine Thorn. He has since been charged with murder in the death of Josheul Allen. While an arrest has been made, law enforcement officials have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting or the circumstances that led to the deadly encounter.
