One of the victims, 18-year-old Roy Calhoun III, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other, 17-year-old Dylan Newby, a former sophomore at Goose Creek High School, was rushed to Trident Hospital with life-threatening injuries. For three days, Dylan fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on October 16, 2019.
Dylan was remembered as a young man who loved sports, especially football and basketball, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors four-wheeling, boating, hunting, and fishing.
