In the quiet community of Goose Creek, South Carolina, a burst of violence on an autumn evening shattered the calm and left a family grappling with a sudden and tragic loss. On October 13, 2019, 18-year-old Roy 'RJ' Calhoun III, a male, was fatally shot in the yard of a residence on Adeline Drive in the Boulder Bluff subdivision. The Goose Creek Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. Roy Calhoun III was pronounced dead at the scene.
