On May 25, 2024, 16-year-old Jay'Quan Milik Lamar Brown tragically lost his life to gun violence in North Charleston, South Carolina. A sophomore at St. John's High School on Johns Island, Jay'Quan was known for his academic diligence and active participation in the JROTC program, with aspirations to serve his country.
