In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 28, 2022, the life of 32-year-old Quantez Jackson, a male resident of North Charleston, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The North Charleston Police Department received a report of a gunshot victim at the Stayover Lodge on McMillan Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Responding officers were directed to a room by an employee of the establishment.
Upon entering the room, officers discovered Jackson unresponsive and without a pulse.
Despite the immediate deployment of Emergency Medical Services to the scene, their efforts were in vain, and he was pronounced dead. The Charleston County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Jackson's death was the result of a gunshot wound.
