In a tragic turn of events on a Sunday afternoon, a young life was cut short in North Charleston, South Carolina. Twenty-two-year-old Kahjuan Zishawwn Green, a Black male, was fatally shot on November 26, 2023. The incident unfolded at a residence on Hunters Ridge Lane, casting a dark shadow over the community.
That afternoon, Donnie Saleem Fuller Jr., a 30-year-old man, arrived at the home with the intention of visiting his children and delivering some items for them.
What began as a seemingly routine visit escalated into a fatal confrontation. According to witness accounts, Fuller went upstairs and became engaged in a brief altercation with Green. The dispute culminated in the sound of a single gunshot, a sound that would forever alter the lives of those present.
Immediately after the shot rang out, witnesses reported seeing Fuller flee the scene. Law enforcement was promptly notified and arrived to find Green deceased inside the residence. Their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting swiftly pointed them toward Fuller as the primary suspect. He was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after the incident.
Fuller now faces serious charges in connection with Green's death, including murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is currently being held at the Dorchester County Jail as the legal proceedings against him move forward. The North Charleston Police Department, in collaboration with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, continues to investigate the tragic event that led to the untimely death of Kahjuan Green.
