On July 23, 2024, 15-year-old Derrick Ronrigus was fatally shot in Sumter, South Carolina. The incident occurred near the intersection of South Main Street and East Red Bay Road. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Derrick was pronounced dead at the scene.
