On August 24, 2024, 15-year-old Rakeem Xavier Jordan Baker was fatally shot at the Palmilla Apartments on Ashley River Road in Charleston, South Carolina. The incident occurred around 11:52 p.m., also resulting in a 17-year-old male sustaining injuries.
