In the quiet evening of December 2, 2023, the life of Collin Potter, a 31-year-old male from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, was abruptly and violently cut short. The tragic events unfolded around 9:00 p.m. at the Ashley Oaks Apartments located on Ashley Hall Plantation Road in the West Ashley area of Charleston. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Potter inside his car, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was quickly transported to the Medical University of South Carolina, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the untimely death of Collin Potter led Charleston police to two teenage suspects. Authorities subsequently arrested 18-year-old Antonio Fludd, Jr., and a 16-year-old whose identity has not been publicly released due to their age. His interests were diverse and included playing the guitar and violin, practicing Tae Kwon Do in which he held black belts, and enjoying outdoor activities like golf, skateboarding, and surfing. His loved ones described him as a kind, generous, and loving individual who was always willing to help others.
