In the late summer evening of August 31, 2024, a fateful encounter unfolded at the Mulberry Court Apartments in Greenville, South Carolina, that would end the life of 17-year-old Andre 'Dre' Udonus Nicholson. A Black/African American male, Nicholson was involved in an attempted armed robbery alongside 18-year-old Corey Russ and another individual who has not been identified. Their objective was reportedly to steal a rifle from a 16-year-old resident of the apartment complex.
