On September 15, 2024, 23-year-old Tyshaun J. Johnson of Darlington, South Carolina, was fatally shot in the early morning hours. The incident occurred around 1:33 a.m. along the 100 block of South Main Street in downtown Darlington. Responding officers found Johnson unresponsive at the scene, and he was pronounced dead by Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee at approximately 2:30 a.m.
