On a busy Friday afternoon, February 12, 2021, in Darlington, South Carolina, the life of 17-year-old Kwelik Jahmir Bacoate was tragically cut short. A student at Darlington High School, known for his participation in track and field, his vibrant personality, and a bright smile, Bacoate was fatally shot in the parking lot of a small business plaza off Governor Williams Highway.
