In the late hours of a Friday night in Columbia, South Carolina, a social media feud tragically escalated into deadly violence, claiming the life of 23-year-old RaDonte Geveon Shaki Green. The male victim, a resident of North Charleston, was attending an event at Suite Sixty, a venue located on Two Notch Road in Richland County, on October 25, 2024.
An ongoing dispute that had been brewing on social media between two groups boiled over at the event, leading to a large physical
altercation. During the fight, Green was shot multiple times. Law enforcement officers from the Richland County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the scene just before midnight. Upon their arrival, they found Green with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders to save him, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The individual responsible for the shooting had fled before deputies arrived.
Following an investigation into the fatal shooting, authorities identified a suspect. On the morning of Thursday, October 31, 2024, 19-year-old Quamir Davis was apprehended by the Richland County Sheriff's Department, with assistance from state agents and the Cayce Police Department. Davis was taken into custody without incident during the execution of a warrant at his home.
Quamir Davis has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the death of RaDonte Green. After his arrest, he was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. The Richland County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the deadly encounter was the culmination of the persistent social media conflict between the two groups involved.
