Marquel T. Walker, a 17-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on the night of July 20, 2022. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the Nexus at Sandhill apartment complex, located at 780 Fashion Drive, adjacent to the Village at Sandhill shopping center. According to the Richland County Coroner's Office, Walker was found with a gunshot wound, and despite efforts to apply pressure to the wound, he succumbed to his injuries.
