In Columbia, South Carolina, a late-night argument on Thursday, December 17, 2020, tragically escalated, ending the life of 34-year-old Avery Clinton McQueen. The male victim was at an apartment on Elmtree Road when the dispute with an acquaintance turned violent. Responding to a call around 11:30 p.m., Columbia Police Department officers arrived to find McQueen suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite medical attention, his injuries proved fatal.
