On April 4, 2023, Kirby Sherman, a 31-year-old resident of Starkville, Mississippi, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at the Blake Court Townhouses located at 1220 Louisville Street in Starkville. The Starkville Police Department responded to a call reporting shots fired at approximately 7:34 p.m. that evening. Upon arrival, officers found Sherman unresponsive, and he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
