In the early hours of a Monday in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of DaMario McPhearson, a 22-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On April 17, 2023, Capitol Police were dispatched to Woodrow Wilson Avenue near Mill Street after receiving reports of an individual lying in the roadway.
