A promising young life was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi, when 17-year-old Saleh Ghasan Omar Humaid was shot and killed on September 19, 2025. A student at Germantown High School, Saleh was reportedly playing soccer with his cousin near Sunnyvale Drive when they were confronted by individuals attempting to rob them. In an attempt to flee the dangerous situation, Saleh was shot twice.
