On December 13, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Jackson Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of Robinson Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Donald Mitchell lying outside the passenger side of a red Ford Edge, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.
