Jaylin J. Lockett, a 20-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on July 8, 2021. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Robinson Street, where Lockett was driving westbound when he was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting. According to the Jackson Police Department, the shots were fired from two different vehicles, one light-colored and one dark-colored. Lockett's vehicle subsequently crashed into a pole, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
