On January 14, 2024, 14-year-old Ethan Evans tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in West Point, Mississippi. The West Point Police Department reported that while traveling down West Half Mile Street, witnesses described a black SUV blocking them at the intersection of North Division and West Half Mile Street. Suspects opened fire on the truck, shooting it multiple times, striking three of the occupants and killing Ethan Evans.
