In the autumn of 2015, the life of 20-year-old Chaderick Strong was tragically cut short in West Point, Mississippi. On the evening of Friday, October 2, 2015, law enforcement responded to a 911 call about a shooting at the Point Place apartments on North Forest Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Strong inside one of the units with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was swiftly transported to the North Mississippi Medical Center, but his injury proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the death of the young male quickly gained momentum. Authorities identified robbery as the likely primary motive behind the violent act. Within days, the focus of the investigation narrowed to two main suspects. Tevin Demetrius Hodges, 23, of Starkville, was taken into custody in Oktibbeha County.
