On March 29, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Starkville, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Jequarius Spencer. The shooting took place in the Sunset Subdivision, specifically on the 100 block of Bennet Drive. Shortly after 8 PM, the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office received reports of shots fired in the area.
