On May 8, 2024, Demarcus Taylor, an 18-year-old resident of Greenville, Mississippi, was fatally shot in what has been classified as a homicide. The incident occurred on Charles and Hal Streets, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
