On May 8, 2024, Demarcus Taylor, an 18-year-old resident of Greenville, Mississippi, was fatally shot in what has been classified as a homicide. The incident occurred on Charles and Hal Streets, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds.
