In the early evening of October 17, 2018, in Greenville, Mississippi, 16-year-old Na’darius Freeman was enjoying a bike ride, a pastime he was known for. A Black male with a comedic personality, Freeman was fatally shot around 7 p.m. in the 400 block of Robertshaw Street. When Greenville Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Freeman on his bicycle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
