In the spring of 2018, the life of 32-year-old Dexter Morris, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Greenville, Mississippi. On the evening of May 9th, violence erupted in the 400 block of Maple Street, leaving Morris with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, his life taken in a sudden and brutal act.
