On September 2, 2024, at approximately 7:52 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting at 2669 Kirby Road in Robinsonville, Mississippi. Upon arrival, deputies found 38-year-old Vandarren Marqueze McCray of Clarksdale, Mississippi, with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, McCray succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Tunica County Coroner Glen Grant.
