John Ballard Gorman, the Director of Investigations for the Mississippi Gaming Commission, tragically died on January 21, 2015, in Robinsonville, Mississippi. Gorman, who was 45 years old, was accidentally shot during a training exercise at the Mississippi Gaming Commission's office. The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. while Gorman was role-playing as an attacker with an edged weapon. During the exercise, another agent's firearm discharged accidentally, resulting in Gorman's death.
