On a late summer evening in Robinsonville, Mississippi, tragedy struck a family gathering. On September 1, 2025, 15-year-old Wildarious Sims was visiting relatives when a 911 call was placed from the residence on Applevane Lane around 6:11 p.m. The juvenile caller reported that a male had accidentally shot himself.
When deputies from the Tunica County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they found Wildarious with a single gunshot wound to his head. The teenager was immediately transported to the MED Trauma Center for medical attention. Despite the efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
During the investigation at the home, authorities recovered a Ruger. 22 Charger pistol. It was later determined that the firearm had been reported stolen from Clarksdale in the neighboring Coahoma County.
The Tunica County Sheriff's Office has stated that the case remains an active investigation. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed by the Medical Examiner's Office in Memphis, Tennessee, to learn more about the circumstances of the fatal shooting. As of now, no arrests have been announced in connection with the death of Wildarious Sims.
