On October 12, 2024, Jarvis Williams, 35, of Yazoo City, Mississippi, was fatally shot during a private party at a residence around 3 a.m. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center Yazoo, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The incident also resulted in a second victim, Williams' brother, who was critically injured and airlifted to a Jackson hospital; he was later reported to be in stable condition.
