On March 15, 2023, 21-year-old African American male Adonnis Williams was fatally shot in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident began at a gas station on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, where surveillance footage captured Williams wearing a red jacket and using his phone. He was approached by three other men, and the group appeared to engage in a civil conversation.
