In the summer of 2020, a dispute in southeast Atlanta turned deadly, claiming the life of 33-year-old Quentin Sinclair McNeil. An African American male, McNeil was at a residence on Oak Knoll Circle SE on August 12th when an argument escalated to the point of gunfire. The Atlanta Police Department responded to the scene to find that McNeil had been fatally shot.
Investigators quickly identified a suspect in the shooting.
The day after the incident, on August 13, 2020, the Atlanta Police Fugitive Unit apprehended 23-year-old Fashon Raquan Ramsey-Waldron. It was reported that the fatal argument between McNeil and his coworker was over money.
Following his arrest, Ramsey-Waldron was charged with multiple felonies in connection with McNeil's death. The charges included felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The case then proceeded through the legal system to seek justice for the death of Quentin Sinclair McNeil.
