In the quiet city of Benton Harbor, Michigan, the life of a beloved 74-year-old man, Leon 'Red' Johnson, was brought to a tragic and violent end in his own home. On Sunday, January 22, 2023, Johnson was discovered deceased inside his residence on LaSalle Street, a place he had called home for nearly five decades. The initial discovery was deemed suspicious by authorities, and it was soon confirmed that Johnson had been shot to death, turning the investigation into a homicide case.
