In the summer evening of June 28, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Richard Vashon Perry was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in his hometown of Benton-Harbor, Michigan. An African American male, Perry was discovered by police in an alleyway in the 700 block of Colfax, between Clay and Harrison, at approximately 8 p.m.
