In the spring of 2023, the life of 41-year-old Jeffrey Howard Russell Jr. was tragically cut short in Kalamazoo, Michigan. On the evening of April 15th, Russell was fatally wounded by gunfire. The incident prompted an investigation by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, which would span several months as they worked to piece together the events of that night and bring a suspect to justice.
