Tyler Daniel Smith, a 17-year-old from Kalamazoo, Michigan, tragically lost his life on February 20, 2016. Tyler, known affectionately as "T," was a senior at Mattawan High School and had a deep passion for soccer, playing at various clubs and schools throughout his life. On the night of his death, Tyler and his father, Richard Eugene Smith, were at the Seelye Kia dealership in Kalamazoo when they were gunned down by Jason Dalton, an Uber driver who went on a shooting rampage in the area.
