In the winter of 2020, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the lives of two people were brought to a violent and tragic end. On December 28, 36-year-old Floyd Brashers and 33-year-old Katoya McPherson were found deceased in their apartment. Their deaths were the result of a shooting and were quickly ruled a double homicide by investigators. The discovery was made after a neighbor noticed a shattered sliding glass door at their residence and alerted the authorities.
